Anna Thomson
Anna Thomson's ceramics are imbued with a sense of discovery and inspired by themes of repetition, variation and erosion. Working in bone china and semi-porcelain, layers of liquid clay are built up and pared back, refined and polished to a tactile smooth finish. Dot vases reveal a memory of a lost form. Anna uses processes usually employed to produce repeated identical forms as starting points for experimentation.
