Throughout my painting career, I have been fascinated by the challenge of painting water. Since moving closer to the coast twelve years ago, I have become preoccupied with light, colour and movement in the waves that I photograph along our beautiful English coastlines. I aim to capture these elusive subjects in watercolours combined with graphite and Nero pencils. Recently I have painted a series of smaller artworks concentrating on close up details.
In 2022, I was elected as a full member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours based at the Mall Galleries in London.
