Getting to Cranbrook

Cranbrook is situated in the heart of the Weald of Kent, about midway between Maidstone and Hastings on the A229 and close to the A262; about midway between Tunbridge Wells and Ashford. 

The Vestry Hall lies at the heart of the town on the corner of Stone Street and High Street.  Access is via a grand stone staircase so if you need disabled access, please see below.

Parking for 1 hour is possible in the High Street or for longer periods in one of the town's three free car parks: Jockey Lane via Carriers Road, The Tanyard via Stone Street and The Co-op via High Street.

Wheelchair access:
Unfortunately it's a bit of a long way around, but it is flat. It is easiest to park at the top of the Jockey Lane Car Park which is accessed via Carriers Road (just off the junction of High St and Stone St). There is a hatched area at the top of the carpark where it meets the Ball Field which is normally reserved for turning vehicles, but there is enough room for one car to park with a blue badge without compromising the turn. Head down the church path that leads to the left of the church and follow it around towards the main church entrance. Opposite the main church entrance you will see a big gothic shaped black door (it may be open). This opens onto the back lobby of the Vestry Hall. Turn right in the lobby and go down the corridor with the lattice windows on your right. There are double doors at the end which can be hooked open. If you need help getting through, knock loudly and someone will come and open them for you. By this route there are no steps or even ramps to negotiate and the Hall has a disabled toilet at the far end next to the Servery hatch.
