Jade Taylor
Jade is an artist that works across a range of disciplines, from her purpose-built garden studio surrounded by the nature that inspires her. Trained as a textile designer at Nottingham Trent University, she specialised in embroidery during her degree, and her love of colour and pattern flows through her current body of work. Printmaking has been at the centre of Jade's practice for many years, both on fabric and paper and this continues as she develops her current mixed media approach.
Combining print with painting to create representational and sometimes whimsical works on linen and paper, with the natural world and the environment very much at their heart. "The natural world has been a constant source of inspiration and a lifelong passion, from the wild hedgerows to my garden filled with wildlife. In developing this body of work I aim to raise awareness of our many beautiful and endangered native species alongside more colourful subjects beyond these shores."
