Joanna Terry
Working in Parian porcelain, Joanna casts grasses and native plants observed through her daily walks in woods and nature reserves. This is often the starting point of each new collection where she gathers found wood and stones to form plinths. The delicate forms are high fired, free of setters, to encourage the natural twist and turn in the firing process. Balanced lightly on found materials, these highly translucent forms reference one's own vulnerability and our need to be centred.
